Description
With an attractive ruby red color and orange reflections on the edge, indicating its evolution in barrel and time in the bottle.
On the nose, it reveals a strong aromatic profile with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, accompanied by jams, raisins, and sweet spices. As it opens up, hints of tobacco, leather, and a slight memory of cured meat emerge, with undertones of vanilla and bitter chocolate, a result of its long aging in barrels.
In the mouth, it has a powerful and engaging entrance, with silky yet firm tannins. Ripe fruit combines with notes of spices and a slight hint of pickles. The balance between acidity and alcohol gives it freshness and vitality, despite its long aging. The finish is long, persistent, with hints of leather, vanilla, and a touch of minerals that add complexity.
This Tempranillo is perfect for pairing with grilled red meats, such as a sirloin steak or lamb ribs. It also pairs beautifully with more intense dishes like meat stews, Iberian ham, cured meats, and semi-mature cheeses.
